Senior Housing Program Description
The Jefferson County Housing Authority owns and manages two senior subsidized
housing facilities, both properties are independent living apartments.
The two properties are located in Evergreen and Golden, Colorado.
All units in these senior buildings are carpeted and have private baths
with either showers and/or tubs and each unit has private kitchens with
stoves and refrigerators. Both buildings have elevators.
Application Process
To apply, you must be either 62 years of age or older and/or disabled/handicapped.
You will be required to fill out a preliminary application after which
your name is placed on a waiting list. An applicant’s priority for
housing assistance is based upon the time and date of the application
and a preference is given to residents of Jefferson County. When the applicants
name reaches the top of the waiting list, they will be notified in writing.
Due to the nature of the Housing Authority’s programs, we are unable
to determine exactly how long an applicant may remain on the waiting list.
Because of the limited amount of units available, it is impossible to
guarantee housing assistance to every eligible person who applies. Please
be sure to notify the Housing Authority in writing of any change in address.
Maximum Annual Income Limit

Green Ridge Maximum Income: 80% of Median
Canyon Gate Maximum Income: 50% of Median

closets, refrigerators and ranges. The apartments are arranged on
4 floors, which includes on-site management and laundry room, a
community room for social activities. It is located next door to
Golden Recreation Center, which offers many amenities for the Canyon
Gate residents.

Take Highway 58 to the Washington Street Exit
Turn left on Washington
Continue to Eighth Street and turn left into Canyon Gate Apartments.

Take Highway 74 to the stop sign on Lewis Ridge Road.
Take a right and continue on the frontage road to John Wallace
